Syrian minister of culture honors Arab artists

Syrian Minister of Culture Najah Al Attar on August 5 honored a number of Syrian and Arab artists for their role in artistic developments.
She offered gold medals to the honored artists; in return she received a gold medal from Arab artists in appreciation of her participation in the honoring function.
The awards ceremony comes shortly after the opening of a cultural exhibition at Al Shaab Fine Arts Gallery in Damascus, including about 220 photos illustrating artistic and cultural movements in Syria as well as television's works and activities from the 1960's up to the present.
