Crown Prince Hassan of Jordan to visit Israel

The Jordanian King Hussein will send his brother Crown Prince Hassan and Prime Minister Abdul Salam Al Majali to Israel for talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
King Hussein of Jordan later called Netanyahu and offered to mediate with the Palestinians. Netanyahu immediately agreed and invited King Hussein to visit Israel on August 6.
Meanwhile in Amman, Hussein and Arafat called world and Arab leaders in hopes of resolving the crisis. They stressed the importance of commitment to agreements signed between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
Arafatıs view is that the bombings which left 15 people dead, including two Arab attackers, were being used as a pretext by Israel to back away from signed peace deals with the PLO.
