Oman opens representation office in Gaza

An Oman Foreign Ministry statement said yesterday that the sultanate of Oman has decided to open a representation office in Gaza. Ambassador Salem al Shanfari is to head the office.
"The move comes in accordance with Omanšs process that is based on Madrid conference resolutions, the Oslo accords and Sultan Qaboos' directive to enhance and strengthen the good ties between the Oman and Palestinian peoples," said the statement.
