Netanyahu's policies, warns of war... Syrian army chief says

The Syrian Army's chief of staff in remarks published August 3 condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's policies and warned of their "dangerous consequences" on the Middle East peace process.
"The provocation and defiance acts which Netanyahu's government commits daily against Arabs creates an atmosphere that is full of tension," Major General Hikmat Shihabi told the ruling party newspaper Al Baatth.
He said Syria wanted peace that would return the Golan Heights, captured by Israel in 1967, and warned Israel against starting a war with Syria.
