Further Israeli troops in occupied Jerusalem

Israeli troops enhanced their presence in occupied Jerusalem and in other Palestinian cities, to prevent any Palestinian resistance operations against Israeli measures, Israeli Radio said.
The radio indicated that the Israeli military cordon imposed on Palestinian areas in the wake of the suicide bombings that took place in Jerusalem last Wednesday is still in effect.
Meanwhile, occupied Jerusalem Mayor Fhud Olmert reiterated his municipality's intention to go ahead in executing the settlement project in Ras al Amoud in the heart of occupied Arab East Jerusalem, ignoring all resolutions and calls as well as the security condition prevailing in Jerusalem currently.
Olmert added that he sees no reason not to implement this settlement project. Olmert confirmed that the building of a settlement at Jabal Abu Ghneim is underway.
