Yemen discusses border dispute with Saudi

Yemenšs President Ali Abdullah Saleh has written to Saudi Arabiašs King Fahd about a border dispute between the two countries, the official Saudi press agency reported.
It said Yemeni Interior Minister Hussien Mohammed Arab delivered the letter at a meeting with King Fahd on July 30 night following talks with Saudi interior minister Prince Nayef.
"There is no doubt the letter... will give a great push to reach an agreement... on the border issue," SPA quoted Prince Nayef as saying.
Nayef visited Yemen early this month in a further attempt to resolve the border dispute.
Yemen and Saudi Arabia signed a memorandum of understanding in 1995 in an attempt to end the dispute. Since then they have exchanged high-level visits and held joint meetings to resolve the issue.
