The company, identified by Israel Radio as Cardion Inc. of Plainview, New York, paid retired Adm Micha Ram, 59, hundreds of thousands of dollars to work as a consultant shortly after he left the navy in 1992.
The naval contract was worth about 20 million US dollars. Israeli media reported, and the police fraud department is investigating whether the later payments to RAM constituted a bribe.
