Shahine to be honored in Lebanon

Veteran filmmaker Yousef Shahine enhanced his international fame by winning the Cannes film festival award of a special 50th anniversary prize for his lifešs work.
The 72-year-old Egyptian director will be honored by a leading Lebanese politician in a reception to be held on August 5, and expected to be attended by a large number of Lebanese officials, actors and filmmakers.
