Syrian story writer wins first prize

Syrian story-writer Walid Mimari won the first prize of the short-story competition organized by the Kuwaiti magazine "Al-Arabi."
Mimari's story entitled " Sons of a She-Goat" was ruled the best among three thousand stories written by Arab story-writers. Saadi Amin Youssef came next followed by Omar Abul Qassem from Libya, Mohammed Haj Saleh from Syria, Jawaher Mohammed al-Rafayeh from Jordan, Al Hason Wad Ahmed from Morocco, Muwafak Nasib Masoud from Syria, Husam Fathi Nayel from Egypt, Ali Mohammed Mahaseneh from Jordan and Amer Saleh Boutera from Tunisia.
Editor-in-chief of the Arabi Magazine Dr. Mohammad al Rumeihi said the competition presented a good chance to all Arab writers.
