Sudan troops regain Ayoud

Sudanese government troops confirmed that they have retaken Ayoud city from southern rebels in the wake of three days of fierce fighting.
Sudanese daily Akhbar Al Youm quoted the commander of the government troops in south Sudan as saying that his troops had restored the city, located 820 km to the south of Khartoum, inflicting heavy losses and casualties on the rebels.
