Suha Arafat intervenes over dispute

Suha Arafat, the wife of the Palestinian leader, has promised to intervene in a dispute between rival factions of the Russian Orthodox church over a monastery in Hebron, press reports said on July 12.
The Jerusalem Post said Mrs. Arafat had been contacted by members of the New York based (white) Russian Orthodox church outside Russia, whose nuns and monks were thrown out of Abraham's Oak monastery last week by Palestinian police.
