US military raid inside Syria's border
An American helicopter-borne troops from Iraq on Sunday launched an assault on a residential area in the Syrian village of al-Sukkiraya which lies just eight kilometres from the border. Eight civilians were reportedly killed in the attack.

The 255th death due to lack of medical treatment resulting from the siege on Gaza passed away, Monday. Medical sources in Gaza said that Ahmed Al-Shafey 76, from the city of Gaza, passed away after suffering for a long time from untreated kidney disease. He was unable to get proper medical care outside the Gaza Strip due to the Israeli siege. Thus the number of the Israeli closure victims mounted, so far, to 255.
