Israel denies 94 percent of requests for West Bank building permits

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on Tuesday that Israel has denied 94 percent of Palestinian requests for building permits in West Bank(WB) areas under its full control.
In a report, (OCHA) said that more than 3,000 Israeli demolition orders are pending against Palestinian-owned structures in the WB.
According to the report, 10 small communities are at risk of being almost entirely displaced by demolitions.
The report dealt with the 62 percent of the WB where Israel retains administrative control. OCHA said that from 2000 to 2007, Israel denied 94 percent of requests for building permits in this area.
Meantime, At least thirty demonstrators, including two journalists were wounded today in a peaceful demonstration in Na'lin village of the West Bank, Anti-wall Popular Committee Coordinator A'hed Khawaja said, when hundreds of international activists headed towards the site of the Wall being constructed on the land of Na'lin.
Also, the Israeli occupation forces wounded fifteen children and arrested nine Palestinians today in the Israeli ongoing offensive in the West Bank city of Qalqiliya, emergency and aid sources said
