South Africa to resume killing elephants, tourism in danger

The Los Angeles Times reported last week on the 26th that South Africa is about to allow resumption of killing elephants as means of population control, noting that environmentalists are threatening that people would stop visiting South Africa for tourism. The report mentioned the possible solution of "elephant vasectomies and female contraceptives," adding "but these are expensive."
