Hariri and Michel Aoun overcome difference, talk of democratic state
Lebanon, Politics, 11/6/2007
Lebanese Head of the Future Bloc in Parliament MP Saad Hariri and General Michel Aoun, Head of the Reform and Change Bloc, overcame many of the past misunderstandings and discussed at length ways to build a sovereign, free, independent, and democratic state, as well as the need to hold presidential elections within the framework of the Constitution away from any intervention, at a meeting in Paris.
The Wednesday talks were not held in Beirut due to media pressure and security concerns. They had agreed to continue dialogue to bolster Lebanese unity and stability.
