Iraq, Iran to talk to activate 1975 Algiers accord

Iran and Iraq will soon start talks to operationalize the 1975 Algiers accord. "To this end, officials of Iraqi Foreign Ministry are to pay a visit to Tehran in the near future to operationalize the 1975 Algiers accord," Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Mohammad- Reza Baqer said in an interview on Tuesday. The 1975 Algiers accord, signed on March 6, 1975, set off border differences between Iran and Iraq.
