Fatah: No future to government of secession in Gaza
Palestine, Politics, 8/27/2007
The official spokesman for Palestinian Fatah movement, Ahmed Abdul Rahman confirmed today that there is no future to a government of secession in Gaza because it is powerless and contrast with the interests of the Palestinian people.
Abdul Rahman told reporters that Hamas actions in the Gaza Strip enshrines the separation between the West Bank and Gaza Strip, although its leaders deny their actions on the ground or covering them by false statements, stressing that there is no future for the coup carried out by Hamas.
He added that the Palestinian National Authority is gambling with the democracy of the Palestinian people in changing the reality of Gaza because the Palestinian people will not accept the "crime committed by Hamas, which has not benefited from it but Israel" according to the official news agency which quoted him.
The Washington Post reported today that the struggle for control by Hamas of the Gaza Strip sector against Fatah influence has reached the level of Hamas trying to shut down even the health sector.
