UAE FM calls on Musharraf

Pakistan's President General Pervez Musharraf today welcomed the United Arab Emirates involvement in Pakistan's economic development.
He was talking to Foreign Minister of United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, who paid a two-day visit to Pakistan on June 11-12.
During the call, all aspects of bilateral relations were discussed, it said.
Views were also exchanged on regional and international issues and the President expressed satisfaction at the excellent relations between Pakistan and UAE.
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan informed the president about UAE decision to renew the soft loan of $ 265 million for the construction of dams in Pakistan.
He said that the United Arab Emirates intended to double its investment in Pakistan from the present $ 13.1 billion to $ 26 billion.
