Kuwait: None allowed to use our territory to attack Iran
Kuwait-Iran, Politics, 6/12/2007

Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Interior Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak al-Sabah said yesterday that Kuwait never lets anyone use its territory to launch military strike on others.

The Kuwaiti high ranking official made the remarks one day after comments made by Iran's Majlis Speaker Haddad Adel who had said in a press conference in Kuwait City that if the US targets Iran's territory through its military bases in the Persian Gulf littoral states, Iran has no option except to target those military bases.

"If US wants to attack Iran from Kuwait's territory, what would be Kuwait's reaction?" a reporter asked Sheikh Jaber.

"US has not demanded us to take advantage of Kuwait's territory to target Iran but if they made a request, we never let such a thing happen," he said.

He once again underlined, "Kuwait never lets its territory be used to launch any military attacks on others."
