US needs Iran's assistance to rid itself of Iraq quagmire: Iranian

Iranian Chancellor of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Commanders Training University and Vice-chancellor of IRGC's Imam Hussain University in Tehran said Friday that the US has no way to get rid of the dead-end and quagmire it is caught in Iraq, unless it seeks Iran's assistance.

At the opening ceremony of Jam Township Combatants Club, General Ahmad Mohammadizadeh, the keynote speaker at the ceremony, said, "The Islamic Republic of Iran relying on 28 years of management at all fields, has achieved noticeable scientific and technological advancement, and our enemies are well aware of this fact." He reiterated, "Today, thanks to its advancement in various fields, Iran is stronger than ever before, and no power in the world can pose any serious threat against us." General Mohammadizadeh added, "The propagation pursued in Western media, particularly at the US media and their affiliated Internet sites on probability of launching a military attack against us is aimed at weakening the great spirit of the Iranian nation.

He added, "But they are unaware of the alertness and wisdom of this nation that is always at the scene, and the bravery of the combatants of Islam that would give them a severe blow on the face, if needed." The IRGC Commander reiterated, "The security of the Persian Gulf can only be secured relying on cooperation between Iran and the regional countries."
