Ancient tomb discovered in Minya

An ancient Egyptian tomb complete with funeral furniture, was discovered in Minya, Upper Egypt, Minister of Culture Farouq Hosni said yesterday.
The tomb of Heno, who was responsible for religious endowments in 21st century BC, was discovered by a Belgian mission working in Deir El-Barsha area in Minya governorate, the minister added.
For his part, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Zahi Hawwas said a large number of small-sized wooden statutes were found inside the tomb, with white, red and black colors.
Also, a statute for Heno in official uniform was found at the tomb where his mummy was inside a casket, Hawwas added.
