Solana on Middle East tour
Regional-European Union, Political Meeting, 5/21/2007
EU-Middle East-Solana EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana, begins today a new tour of the Middle East that will take him to Israel, the Palestinian Territories, Lebanon and Egypt.
During his four-day visit to the region, Solana will meet political leaders to discuss the latest, critical developments in the region, following the recent upsurge in violence in Israel, Palestine and Lebanon, said a statement by Solana's office Monday.
