Sudan welcomes Egypt deploying 2000 soldiers in Darfur

The Sudanese Foreign Ministry announced that the Egyptian government has approved dispatching some 1759-2000 soldiers initially to take part in the heavy support missions in Darfur.
Ambassador Ali Al Sadeq, the Spokesman for the Sudanese Foreign Ministry, described Egypt's decision as brave and reflecting the depth of the brotherly relations binding the two states.
Egypt's stance vis-à-vis the Darfur crisis much corresponds to the requisites of good neighborliness and expresses the feelings of great common responsibilities, said the Sudanese Foreign Ministry Spokesman.
Moreover, the Egyptian stance confirms that the two states' viewpoints were identical, said the spokesman stressing that the step was considered as well an addition to President Hosni Mubarak's efforts and keenness on the unity of the Sudan.
On her part, Radia Ashouri, the Spokeswoman of the United Nations' mission in the Sudan, welcomed Egypt's decision asserting that Egypt has had many contributions to the peace-keeping forces.
