Mubarak, Bashir discuss peace efforts in Sudan

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak and his visiting Sudanese counterpart Omar Hassan al-Bashir today probed peace efforts in Sudan.
The two leaders focused on ways of bolstering the peace greement signed between the Khartoum government and the southern Sudanese rebels on January 9, 2006.
Mubarak and Bashir also dealt with means of settling the crisis of the western Sudanese region of Darfur and the way Sudan deals with the international community.
The talks also touched on means of boosting Egyptian-Sudanese economic and trade cooperation through setting up joint ventures in the domains of agriculture, electricity, gas, education and health.
