Ban Ki-moon asked to intercede on behalf of imprisoned signatories of

Reporters Without Borders wrote to UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon in advance of his visit to Syria on 24-25 April, asking him to intercede with President Bashar Al-Assad on behalf of writer and journalist Michel Kilo, lawyer Anwar al-Bunni and Communist Party member Mahmud Issa, who have been imprisoned for nearly a year.
