Iran - Oman cooperation

Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and Oman's Foreign Ministry Director General in Political Affairs Ahmad Yousef al-Harethi discussed here on Monday issues of mutual interest.
Mottaki said, "Bilateral ties are in an excellent level and we are pleased that by continuous consultations, we are strengthening mutual cooperation and preparing investment plans."
On Iraq developments, the Iranian foreign minister pointed out, "Security and stability in Iraq have a direct affect on the regional economy and security and we hope by a collective cooperation of the neighboring countries and joint consultations, we all help Mr.
Maleki government to establish stability and security in Iraq."
The Omani diplomat said political consultations between senior officials of both countries have been constructive and useful adding it has prepared an appropriate ground for strengthening ties and holding a joint economic commission.
