Mubarak receives a message from Bashir

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak exerts great effort to tackle the issue of Darfur where Sharm El-Sheikh yesterday witnessed intensive diplomatic activity by Mubarak where he received Moustafa Othman Ismail, the Advisor to Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir.
During the meeting, Othman conveyed to President Mubarak a message from President Bashir dealing with the latest developments in the Sudan, tension in Darfur, the results of the quartet summit which was recently held in Tripoli and efforts by the Sudanese president to clear the Arab atmosphere in his capacity as the current chairman of the Arab Summit.
Emerging from the meeting, Othman said the joint higher Egyptian Sudanese Committee would meet in Khartoum under Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif and Sudanese Vice-President Ali Othman Taha.
The committee, which will convene in the third week of March will discuss a number of joint projects in the economic, commercial and cultural fields besides, a number of agreements would be signed during the visit which will be paid by Premier Nazif to the Sudan soon.
