Ahmadi-Nejad: Illegal US measures in Iraq will get you nowhere
Iraq-Iran, Politics, 2/11/2007
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad yesterday, addressing foreign troops in Iraq, said that "illegal acts such as kidnapping of Iranian diplomats will put them in trouble and that political moves of the kind will get them nowhere."
Ahmadi-Nejad said that Iran is for peace and justice to prevail in the world and that in a letter to its enemies he had declared Iran's readiness to hold talks to resolve differences.
"Unfortunately, they count on their money, warheads and defeated military and turn their backs to the urgent needs of nations by just thinking of their own interests," he added.
The president advised the enemies of Iran to go back to the ideals of law, justice and friendship among nations and the path of the divine prophets.
"You will get nothing out of your aggressive measures in Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon. If you continue in your unpopular measures, regional nations will be a force against you," said Ahmadin-Nejad.
