Fahmi: oil ministry seeks expansions in natural gas use

Egypt's Minister of Petroleum Sameh Fahmi today said that the ministry's strategy aims at the expanded use of natural gas in the various domains, giving priority to the needs of the domestic market and exporting the surplus, with local consumption of natural gas rising to 25 million tonnes in 2005-2006 and represents 48.6 percent of the overall local consumption of petroleum and gas products.
