Mubarak: Palestinian issues central

The Jordanian news agency (Petra) highlighted Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak's statements about the Palestinian problem as central to Mideast stability and security, telling Akhbar el-Youm newspaper that peace required mutual confidence between the Palestinians and Israelis.
Israel's foreign ministry meantime said "During the Egyptian FM's visit to Jerusalem (this week), they discussed both Israeli-Egyptian relations and the Israel-Palestinian conflict - how to promote a process that represents the interests of the moderates in the region," and the upcoming meeting between Prime Minister Olmert and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
