Palestine-Israel, Politics, 11/18/2006
The Israeli occupation forces prevented Saturday Palestinian farmers and international peace activists, including Israelis, from heading to fields in Hebron.
Witnesses said that the international peace activists (CPT) and Israelis assisted the Palestinian farmers, who are to forcibly lose their fields, to reach their land and plant it.
They added that Israeli soldiers hindered the farmers and peace activists from reaching the fields for several hours.
Local sources said that Israeli troops intend to seize at least 1000 Donums from the Palestinian-owned land in the West Bank town of Yatta, west Hebron.
Meantime, Jewish settlers wounded today five Palestinians, including three children in the West Bank city of Hebron, witnesses said.
They added that the settlers of Ramat Shai colony, closed to the city, attacked schoolboys and citizens' houses, in Tel al- Rmeida neighborhood, central Hebron, with stones and empty bottles, wounding five citizens, including a 3-year-old child.
"The settlers wounded my son, Younis in his head and my wife, in addition to my brothers' wife and her two daughters", Hashim al-Ezza, a resident of Tel al-Rmeida said.
