Shahroudi: Qods day turn out a sign of justice seeking
Regional-Iran, Politics, 10/23/2006
The widespread turn-out of the Muslims in the International Qods Day was the sign of ever-increasing call for justice, the Judiciary chief said.
Congratulating the world Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr in a meeting with the high-ranking Judiciary officials, Ayatollah Seyed Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi said that as expected, the massive turn-out of the fasting Iranians in the international Qods Day made another bright day in the Iranians' truth seeking history, Judiciary Public Relations Office reported on Monday.
Calling the world Muslims' turn-out in the Qods Day rallies a token of expansion of justice seeking, he expressed hope that the rallies would play its critical role even in the United States and Europe.
He also hoped to witness more attention of the world Muslims toward Palestine case and to give the Palestinians fresh heart.
He referred to to the victory of Lebanese Hizbollah against the usurper Zionist regime and Iranian students' recent scientific success as some incentives, among others, to raise Iranians' morale and consequently creating more massive rallies in this year's Qods Day demonstrations.
The world Muslims' awareness of crimes committed by the Zionists and the extensive support for the Palestinians are indebted to the efforts made by the late Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, which is the continuation of the divine prophets' path.
"Thank to the people's prayers in the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, we observed the victory of the Palestinians and defeat of Zionism and the global arrogance," he concluded.
