UN to investigate Israel's crimes in Lebanon

Russian foreign ministry declared the UN Human Rights Council intends to dispatch a special commission to Lebanon to investigate Israel's war crimes against civilian people there.

A decision was made on Friday in an emergency meeting of the council in Geneva.

Russian representative in the meeting Saturday said killing the civilian in Lebanon is a violation of international humanitarian laws and human rights, including the right of living.

He underlined the necessity of immediate ceasefire for assisting the victims of the war and providing the Lebanese with humanitarian aids.
According to the UN Human Rights Council decision, a commission to investigate the war crimes, consisting of human rights experts will be dispatched to Lebanon soon.

Due to Israeli aggressions during the past month, more than 1,000 people have been killed and around 3,600 have been injured. Over one million people have been displaced.
