Enter-Iraqi dialogue begins in Cairo
Iraq-Egypt, Politics, 7/20/2006
A delegation representing various Iraqi parties and sects arrived here Tuesday night on a visit to Egypt.
The Iraqi delegation will take part in a seminar on Iraq organized by the International Center for Future and Strategic Studies slated for Wednesday.
A number of experts in political and Arab affairs from Egypt and other Arab countries will take part in the seminar.
In his speech before the conference, Information Secretary in the National Democratic Party Ali Eddin Hilal confirmed that no Iraqi faction can be excluded from the political process in Iraq given that the stability of Iraq requires reaching reconciliation among all the Iraqi factions. In this context, Hilal warned against the consequences of instability in Iraq on the region. He also warned against deepening sectarianism in Iraq, a matter which would result in serious psychological, social, economic and political repercussions on Iraq.
