Arab, Islamic states should isolate Israel: Iran VP after Syrian meeting

Iran's First Vice-President Parviz Davoudi today said that the Arab and Islamic states through diplomatic measures "should isolate the Zionist regime."

Davoudi made the remarks in his meeting with the Syrian Minister of Industries Fuad Isa Juni in Tehran. He underlined the support of Iran for the brave resistance of Hizbullah in Lebanon and the oppressed Palestinians against atrocities of Israel.

"The Islamic states should render political, financial, and economic support to Palestinians and Lebanese against the crimes being committed by the Zionist regime," he said.

Issuing a stern warning against the Israel' acts of brutality and aggression, he said there is no doubt that the Syrian government and its nation would strongly deal with any probable aggression by Israel.

The Syrian minister, for his part, "praised the support rendered by Iran for Syria, Lebanon and Palestine against the crimes being committed by Israel." "There is no doubt that through the resistance of Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian nations and support rendered by the Islamic Republic of Iran, we will become triumphant against atrocities of the Zionists occupiers," he said.

The grounds for expansion of industrial and economic cooperation between Iran and Syria are very extensive, he said and called for further deepening of such ties between the two countries.
