Ahmadi-Nejad: Zionist regime unable to survive in peace
Lebanon-Iran, Politics, 7/14/2006
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad yesterday said that "due to its aggressive nature the Zionist regime is unable to survive in peace and tranquility."
He said that Israel has been brought to power through intrigue as well as material and propagandist support to continue aggression and tyranny against the regional nations.
The chief executive said that the "recent barbaric attacks of the Zionist regime in southern Lebanon and assassination of defenseless women and children are rooted in the aggressive nature of the Zionists."
Addressing the countries and international bodies supporting Israel, the president asked "Given your claims on human rights, your reaction to trial of your affiliated agents in any independent state on charge of treason, in which case you will continue issuing consecutive resolutions, why are you silent in the face of crimes committed by the Zionists?"
Ahmadi-Nejad said "The current situation in Lebanon and Palestine is a test on the performance of the international bodies staking claims to human rights."
Stressing that some supporters of Israel keep silent towards the bloodshed in Lebanon, he urged them to take a position against such catastrophes and declare either their agreement or disagreement to it.
Ahmadi-Nejad said that those supporting the barbaric measures of Israel by keeping silent are considered as their accomplice and should stand trial.
The president hoped that "supporters of the Zionist regime will stop their support for this usurper regime in order to save face."
