Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa is expected in Iran tomorrow to attend the 9th meeting of foreign ministers of Iraqi neighboring states plus Egypt scheduled for July 8-9, it was announced here on Wednesday.

The pan-Arab body's spokesman, Alaa Rushdy, made the announcement at a press conference, where he also said Moussa is scheduled to meet with several Iranian senior officials during his stay in Tehran.

The meeting will be attended by foreign ministers of Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Turkey, Iraq and Egypt.

The secretaries-general of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and Arab League have been invited to participate in the meeting.

Moussa's visit to Iran is part of an official tour that will also take him him to Syria and Spain, Rushdy added.

Moussa is to travel to Spain next Thursday to discuss latest developments in the Arab world, particularly the recent Israeli atrocities against Palestinians in the occupied lands, he said.
