Men, women treated on equal footing in Egypt

"Egyptian women play a pivotal role in the country's development process,"said Mrs Suzanne Mubarakon Tuesday 13/6/2006, speaking to the British Sky News on the closing day of the Global Summit of Women. Mrs Mubarak said that the Egyptian government treats males and females on an equal footing when it comes to job opportunities.
She said Egyptian women have made impressive economic, social and political strides over the past few years. Women do now have a say in the decision making process in Egypt, Mrs Mubarak said.
