NCHR:Egypt protects Coptic rights

"Egypt pays due attention to Coptic rights and tries its best to resolve problems facing Christians," (NCHR) Ahmad Kamal Abul Magd Deputy Head of the National Council for Human Rights said yesterday in a meeting with a visiting US delegation of assistant- congressmen.
Abul -Magd added that there are no religious parties in Egypt.
Members of parliament either belong to a political party or stand as independent, he noted.
