Bahrainis more interested to travel to Iran
Bahrain-Iran, Economics, 5/30/2006

Deputy head of a city council in northern state of Bahrain said foreign tourists are feeling more and more secure in Iran and that is why the Bahraini tourists are getting more interested to travel to Iran.

Javad Feerouz yesterday said that in the past 10 years, the presence of Bahraini tourists in Iran had been decreased due to some political problems.

He described historical sites and religious shrines as well as natural landmarks in Iran "very attractive," especially for the Arab tourists.

Members of city councils from north, south and central Bahrain arrived in Isfahan on Saturday evening to visit developing plans and historical sites in Isfahan and discuss issues of mutual interest with Isfahan officials.

The Bahraini delegation will stay here for one week. Isfahan was chosen as " Cultural Capital of Islamic World" in 2006 by ISESCO.
