Preachers help in fight against AIDS in Libya

The functions of the training workshop for preachers, imams and orators on responding to the Anti-Aids campaigns organized by W'atissimo Society for Charity in cooperation with the UN Development Porgram, concluded Thursday evening in Tripoli.

The Executive Director of W'atissimo Society for Charity, a number of experts, preachers, imams and Sheikhs from various Shabias of Libya, as well as a number of consultants and specialists in this field, attended the conclusion of this workshop.

The Executive Director of the W'atissimo Society for Charity explained, in his speech on this occasion, the important role of preachers, imams and orators in educating about this disease through religious lessons, and sermons on Friday prayers and religious occasions to contribute to protection against this dangerous disease.
He indicated to the figures presented during the activities of this workshop, explained the danger of this disease at world level.
In speech the participants hailed Dr. Aisha Mu'ammer al-Gathafi, the General Secretary of the W'atissimo Society for Charity Works for her sponsorship of the conference and her charitable efforts to help the needy people.
The speech explained that this workshop is to contribute to non-proliferation of this disease through the lessons of the preachers and the guidance at all levels to fight it.

It is note worthy that the works of the three-day workshop held under the theme " An influential and , effective mercy ", included a number of religious, enlightening and protective lectures on the importance of the fight against HIV disease and its non-proliferation.

At the closing festival appreciation certificates were distributed to the participants in the functions of the workshop.

The participants in the training workshop for preachers, imams and orators said in a cable to the Libyan leader about the training they have received regarding the disease AIDS that:

" We the imams, speakers and preachers of Libya, the participants in the training workshop on responding to the Anti-AIDS campaigns organized by W'atismo Society for Charity in cooperation with the UN Development Porgram.

" We highly express the profound appreciation and gratitude to you and for your resolve and challenge, we resolved to challenge and fight the deadly diseases, by your sincere and love of this homeland and its striving people. We declare that we are the soldiers in an honorable field.

"Your resolve provides us with the power to wage the battle against this deadly disease (HIV), which spreads like fire across the world. As we conclude this enlightening program in order that safety prevails on our beloved country and its people live in prosperity and welfare, which is a priorities of the great al-Fateh Revolution since its dawn, We ask God to keep you as a symbol of loyalty and providence."
