Israel cares about troubled people of Darfur
Sudan-Israel, Politics, 5/24/2006

Israeli Foreign Minister Tzibi Livni today met with African ambassadors to Israel telling them that Israel was following up the plight of the Darfur people of Sudan.

According to the Israeli state-run radio, Livni told the ambassadors that Israel was also trying to give humanitarian aid to the victims of the tribal conflict there.

It is believed that by highlighting the Darfur conflict Israel is only trying to distract attention from its own oppression of some 3.7 million Palestinian languishing under the sinister Israeli military occupation.

Israel is barring Palestinians access to food and work and confining most Palestinians to their towns and villages.

The Israelis are also withholding hundreds of millions of Palestinian tax receipts for the purpose of starving the Palestinians and/or coercing them to give political concessions to their occupiers.
