Al-Assad criticizes US policy on Hamas

Syria's president Bashar al-Assad critizized the role of US in Palestine, saying the US administration is now seeking to punish Hamas, the democratically elected government of Palestine.
The US attempted to create obstacles for the new Palestinian government through imposing economic sanctions, he said adding that under such circumstances the Islamic countries should vigilantly support Palestinians.
