Six Iraqis killed, one US soldier

A source in Iraqi Interior Minister announced Friday evening that six Iraqi civilians were killed and two injured in the Iraqi capital Baghdad where a gunmen fired at civilians standing near a shop in al-Yarmok quarter in west of Baghdad.

Iraqi police found Friday evening 9 unidentified deformed bodies in Baghdad.

The Pentagon said today "A U.S. soldier was killed in Baghdad yesterday, and the Defense Department identified a Marine and three soldiers who were killed in Iraq in the preceding two days The soldier killed in Baghdad yesterday died when a roadside bomb struck his vehicle, officials said. The soldier's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin."
