Israeli occupiers killed another Palestinian woman
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 5/1/2006

The Israeli occupation troops today killed a Palestinian woman during a foray into the northern West Bank town of Tulkarm.

Palestinian sources said Itaf Yousuf Zalat was killed and her two children, Ahlam and Asnam, aged eight and 12 respectively, were badly injured when trigger-happy soldiers showered her flat with bullets in an early morning incursion into the Zanaba neighborhood, an eastern outskirt of Tulkarm.
The Israeli army admitted that "a woman was killed," and said it was looking into the "incident."

Israeli occupation forces have killed thousands of Palestinian civilians, including over 1400 children and minors, during the past five years. In April, the Israeli army killed more than 45 Palestinians, including five children.

The Israeli government's spokesman claims their occupation army does not deliberately target Palestinian children and civilians.

However, Palestinian and human rights groups, including Israel's own B'tselem organization, argue forcefully that the Israeli army does target civilians as evidenced in the huge number of Palestinian civilians that have been killed and maimed by Israeli occupation forces.

It is noted that the daily killing and maiming of Palestinians by the Israeli occupation army raises no outcry in the West, especially in the United States.

This comes as a prominent Israeli journalist on Sunday lambasted Israeli defense minister Shaul Mofaz, saying he had a lot of blood on his hands.
Writing in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Gideon Levy scoffed at Mofaz's demands that he be accorded 'an important portfolio' in the Zionist regime being formed by acting prime minister Ehud Olmert. "Mofaz should now look after his own home, after doing quite enough to our homes and the homes of our neighbors," wrote Levy. He said "There are countries in the world where a person like Mofaz would be sent home as an outcast if he managed to avoid standing trial in his country or at the International Court in the Hague for suspected war crimes."
