Ahmadinejad: Iran fully mastered nuclear technology
Iran-Regional, Politics, 4/24/2006
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad today announced that the Islamic Republic of Iran is a nuclear country and has completely mastered nuclear technology.
"Iran will apply this technology to various fields of science," he said.
Ahmadinejad added "All Iranian activities are open and transparent. This transparency and openness of activities is the best evidence of Iran's legitimacy and rightfulness."
"The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) should act fairly and provide nations with a report on what they have given us after 30 years of membership in the agency," he said.
The president questioned, "If a country joins an institution and gains nothing from it except that the will of big powers is imposed on it, shouldn't that nation question membership in the institution?" Ahmadinejad stressed, "Iran does not accept the dual approach of the IAEA.
"Iran is ready to talk with all countries to promote peace and tranquility in the world."
Ahmadinejad had earlier indicated that Iran is now a member of the nuclear club countries.
