22 arrested for planning attacks in Egypt

Egyptian Security agencies have arrested an organization of 22 terrorists residing in AL-Zawya AL-Hamra, Torah, Helwan and Maadi.
The organization was said to be planning to attack touristic attractions, natural gas pipeline at the ring road as well as assassinate Islamic and Christian men of religion.
Members of the organization maintained contacts with terrorist elements living abroad and depended on zakat and donations funds.
In its statement, the Interior Ministry said the underground organization called itself the "victorious faction" and that its members hailed from the nearby suburbs northeast and south of Cairo.
The organization is led by 26 year old Ahmed Mohamed Ali Gabr who is studying humanities, Aka "Abu Musab."
They planned to buy a piece of land in Giza for military training and had recruited religious youth.
They planned to use time bombs to carry out their terrorist acts and collected information on how to make explosives and poisonous substance from the Internet. A number of computer sets and CDs as well as research containing "terrorist ideas" were found. Security agencies kept an eye on the organization for months. They said the terrorists planned to send a number of its elements to Iraq for Jihad there as well.
They received instructions from jihad elements in Iraq, the statement added.
