Tantawi: Muslims, Copts part of Egypt's social fabric

Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Sheikh Mohamed Sayyed Tantawi received yesterday a delegation of representatives from the German Frankfurt University and the Evangelical church in Egypt led by Reverend Tharwal Qades.
During the meeting, Sheikh Tantawi said Egypt's Muslims and Copts are part of one and the same social fabric, adding that they both live side-by-side and have equal rights and equal obligations. He said Islam is a religion of tolerance and moderation.
