Balance of international forces not beneficial for Palestinians

Member of the Palestinian National Council (PNC) Khalid Nufal said in Tehran today that although all UN resolutions respect rights of the Palestinians, balance of forces at regional and international level is not in interests of the nation.

He made the remark while talking to IRNA on the occasion of the Third International Conference on Qods and Support for the Rights of Palestinian People, currently underway in Tehran.

He stressed that none of international resolutions on support for the Palestinian people's rights have been implemented because of the US and Israel opposition and inability of Arab states and the international community to impose their will on Washington and Tel Aviv.

He added the Palestinian groups are aware of difficulties of fight against the occupying regime, backed by the United States, but will continue their path despite differences in balance of forces in the region.

The PNC official noted Israel is not serious in materializing a real peace and respect the Palestinians' rights, adding it just intend to captivate the nation.

Intifada of al Aqsa mosque would be a normal response to Israel's behavior in weakening establishment of peace.

Nufal stressed the important role that media play in determining the issue of Palestine, saying media of Arab and Islamic states should lay emphasis on the West's dual policies and carry out their real responsibility in the Middle East.
