Rice criticizes Hizbullah as problem for the Lebanese

The US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice considered that the Lebanese Hizbullah party is the biggest problem facing the Lebanese people at the meantime, stressing the need of dismantling the weapons of Hizbullah party under the pretext that this is one of the requirements of the UN Security Council resolution 1559.

Rice said that Iran is not the only side which gives support for Hizbullah, but also Syria which has has always with Tehran in many parts of the world, especially in Lebanon, noting that the USA is working with the French in order to ensure the implementation of UN Security Council resolution 1559 which states the departure of foreign forces and dismantling weapons of the militias.

She stressed that Lebanon undergoes a transitional period and is run by a fragile government because of elections that provided support for Hizbullah, but one requirements of the Un resolution should not be forgotten which is dismantling the weapons of this militia.

For his part, the chairman of the democratic bloc the Lebanese parliamentarian Walid Junblat said that an objective settlement for the issue of the Hizbullah weapons can be made via border demarcation in Shabaa Farms area.

In a statement to the Lebanese daily al-Mustaqbal ( the future) Junblat stressed that keeping this weapons under the slogan that Shebaa farms are Lebanese nor Syrians, as stated by Damascus or under the title " fixing the Lebanese identity of this farm is not important, as stated by the secretary general of the Hizbullah party Hassan Nasrullah, is totally rejected. he added that keeping the weapons without border demarcation is the Syrian means to confiscate the Lebanese decision.
